Saint George's Market is one of Belfast's oldest attractions and recognised as one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland, with over 200 market stalls selling a whole variety of food, local produce, arts and crafts. Weekly markets are held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with live music from local artists.
In the small village of Bushmills on the far northern coast of Norther Ireland you'll find the oldest working distillery in Ireland. In 1608, King James I granted Sir Thomas Phillips a license to distill. 400 years of history and experience of distilling hand crafted small batches to produce beautifully smooth tasting original Irish whiskey. Guided tours of the distillery take about 40 mins.
Learn to cook or improve your cooking skills in the beautiful Belle Isle Cookery School. This purpose built state-of-the-art cookery school opened in 2004 in one of the most beautiful settings in Ireland. The school runs a variety of daily courses every month to suit everyone from complete beginner to experienced cook.
Now in it's 24th year, the Hillsborough International Oyster Festival will be held ove the 30th August - 4th September 2016 in the picturesque Georgian village of Hillsborough in County Down. The festival attracts thousands of visitors and offers a fantastic programme of activities, performances and eating experiences.
In 2015, two restaurants in Belfast, "EIPIC at Deanes" on Howard Street and "OX" on Oxford Street, were awarded their Michelin Star by the prestigious restaurant guide.
EIPIC is an elagant, refined and innovative dinning experience, within the Deanes flagship premises in Howard Street, and aims to provide wholesome yet subtle flavours using local, seasonal finest quality produce. Their Tasting Menu offers a seven course meal as well as tasty surprises.
OX is a cool and modern with exposed brick, polished concrete and plate glass overlooking the River Lagan. Their menus are designed to showcase local produce and seasonal vegetables and fruit, with high quality wines available by the glass.
I thought that the bed was very comfortable. For me, it was like sleeping on a cloud. Hope to return in the summer.
